Hello, Duckywood residents! I'm
L0-VE, the HoD at Pekin Times Newspaper. Pekin Times is your number ONE source for all things Duckywood! I decided to interview the Head of Events and Games Department,
Chili. Read on to see what he had to say!
L0-VE -
How did you hear about DuckyWood?
Chili - I first heard about DuckyWood when I was scrolling through the room navigation after seeing no good games on. I think I saw Knitty and her friends chilling. They were so kind and welcoming.
L0-VE - What made you want to join DuckyWood?
Chili - I wanted to eventually join after taking a tour of the community. I was just amazed at how thorough the community was. It was pretty cool seeing all the different kinds of houses and buildings. It was like stepping into a different atmosphere and I loved it.
L0-VE - What made you want to head the Game and Events department of DW?
Chili - I wanted to lead the events team simply because I love to stay busy and my brain is always working 100mph pumping out new ideas. Around the hotel I’m known to help build and wire other Habbo’s games and sometimes add a sprinkle of magic to them.
L0-VE - What is your vision and plan for this department, as a whole?
Chili - I have a few visions for the future of DuckyWood Events! I’d like to get the main gamers & hosts interested in the community as well and bring Habbo back to its original roots with a modern twist; Building and Gaming. I am also planning a massive community-wide event where every street can compete against the others. Lastly, I want our Events District to be active and used as the conduit to our amazing events hosted by our residents.
L0-VE - Can you give me one idea that you have which will help promote the Game and Events department?
Chili - Hm I have a couple ideas but some are a bit secret.. for now! One idea I can share is that I’d want to provide incentives for people to WANT to join after witnessing our amazing events and the benefits DuckyWood residents receive when playing and winning them.
L0-VE - Do you have any goals you wanna achieve as a resident of DuckyWood?
Chili - Well my goal is to ultimately make having a property on Habbo a NORM. It would be amazing to see most of .com with their own streets. I think it would bring the server together a bit more.
L0-VE - What inspired your houses’ builds?
Chili - I’ve built and torn my homes many times after finding different inspirations. But one thing I like to do is make my home as realistic as possible in all aspects. From the front door walkway all the way to the roof. I want it to really feel like a home. I'm a big fan of modern contemporary and Japanese styles, but I also love a good classic southern American country home!
L0-VE - Besides your street/s, name 1 area in DW that you LOVE, and why?
Chili - Aside from my Street, which I think has the best park in all or habbo, I do love Cherry Street as well! Mainly because those are my type of building styles.
L0-VE - If you could add anything to make DW a better place, what would it be?
Chili - Hmm 1 thing I'd say would make DuckyWood a better place, would probably be more room for expansion. I could definitely see the community doubling in size by the end of this year at the rate we are going! Imagine another neighborhood across the water or on the other side of the map. Also, it would be cool to eventually see DuckyWood recognized as an official Habbo fansite. I just think what Zarek has here is such a good thing for the Habbo community.
L0-VE - Random, fun question: Do you collect anything in Habbo or inrl?
Chili - On Habbo I used to collect paintings, but now I've started collecting all the teleport sets. Never thought they would come in handy until I joined DuckyWood.
On behalf of Pekin Times - thank you to
Chili for your time and insightful responses! Good luck with the Events Department. It's a big job! But, I see you have a good wing around it!
Make sure to stay tuned! More interviews, incoming :D
